Hi – Can anyone recommend a good doctor for musicians on LI? I”ve been developing cysts (I think) on both my wrists/hands, and playing is beginning to get painful. I’ve had them on my right wrist in the past with no ill effects, but the left wrist (fretting hand) is fairly painful in certain positions. At least I have been forced to play in new positions on the fly – getting quite creative in an attempt to avoid pain : ) Thanks Maureen

Ouch. Wish you the best with those. I knew a guy who would smash his (burst them) every so often, till he finally had surgery done. He was a cement head. He eventually found a hand specialist and had good results. A girl I worked with had them removed, and one came back. Had it removed again. Hope you are able to find some good references. They help a lot. — O> /() ^^

one of them has come on gone on its own several times, but the other is quite a new experience. I’m hoping that I can just adjust my playing somehow – I’m not a fan of surgery, especially for my hands! Maureen

Good luck!! I’ve had one in my right hand between the index and middle finger sucked out twice and surgically removed once, and it STILL came back!!
